The individual in this position is directly responsible for supervising the accounting aspects of the dealership to include the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the financial activities of the dealership. Applicants must possess demonstrated experience analyzing financial documents, establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems.

Ensures corporate, statutory, and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions by performing the following duties:

The individual in this position ensures that all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection and co-op advertising are current and accurate. Assist with the preparation of a complete monthly financial statement according to the dealership guidelines and within manufacturer‘s format and time frame. Interprets the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) regularly and informs the General Manager of developing trends. Reviews the general ledger and scheduled accounts. Notes any unusual entries and investigates. The individual reviews the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper reconciliation of reserve accounts, factory payable, and floorplan payable. This individual manages the dealerships computer system to maximize utilization. Supervises all office personnel to ensure that proper accounting procedures are adhered to, including ensuring that they are maintaining accurate records for the quarterly and year-end audits to minimize costs. The individual also continuously strives to improve data integrity and information reporting through the dealership, with attention to detail and confidentiality.

Operate with a hands-on approach
Experience with ADP
Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
Ability to communicate effectively
