Cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts in restaurants. Inspect & clean food preparation areas, equipment, work surfaces & serving areas & occasionally wash pots, pans, & dishes to ensure safe & sanitary practices. Ensure food is stored & cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills & roasters. Ensure freshness of food & ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old & new items & rotating stock. Season food according to recipes. Weigh, measure & mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils & equipment. Portion, arrange & garnish food. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Wash, peel, cut & seed fruits & vegetables & prepare them for consumption. Requirements: 6-mths of Exp. as a cook or line cook.
