These position(s) serve as a positive presence and deterrence to misbehavior in the park and, together with the Police Department, assures that the safety and well-being of park users is properly maintained at all times. As an employee of the Town of Chester, the Park Ranger is vested with the authority to order a person (or persons) to leave (or not to enter) Town of Chester property in order to follow Federal or State laws, or Town of Chester ordinances, rules and regulations in accordance with NH RSA 635:2, Criminal Trespass.

The Park Ranger works directly with the police department and is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the field of law enforcement to gain valuable experience. Coverage is needed 7 days/week, varying hours dependent on the weather. Approximately 30 hours per week from mid-May until mid-September

Land Use Assistant I / Permit Technician.

Essential:

Applicants will be required to provide a full range of technical and administrative duties in support of the Building, Code Enforcement, and Zoning departments within the Office of Community Development (OCD). This is a highly visible position within the departments providing administrative services and information to the public. Candidates must be comfortable dealing with diverse populations. This position requires the candidate to become certified as Permit Technician I or the ability to receive certification within 6 months of hire. Experience with and knowledge of diverse software platforms required. Knowledge of Munis beneficial.

Tate & Lyle is seeking a qualified candidate for our Houlton, Maine plant Boiler Operator position. Applicant must have good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities; be able to move/handle 50 pounds without mechanical assistance, climb stairs and ladders, work outdoors, able to wear proper PPE, meet all air and water discharge limits, and work shifts including weekends. Applicant must have, or able to obtain, at minimum a current Maine High Pressure Steam or Stationary Steam Engineer license. The State of Maine Board of Boilers does have a reciprocity program if you are applying out of state depending on qualifications. Must be able to read and understand NPDES and Air Permits, and perform daily required testing to maintain compliance with permits. Must be a team player with good communication skills and strong background in math, chemistry, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be a high school graduate / GED and have three plus years‘ experience in a manufacturing setting. Additionally, candidate should be able to operate manual machinery such as fork lifts, valves, fire extinguishers, snow blowers, process equipment, etc. as well as working knowledge of hand and power tools. Must have a valid Driver‘s License.
